Description
This summer I was asked to present at my District’s back to school inservice conference. I chose STEM because it’s something that I’ve grown so passionate about over the last few years. It’s also something that I know many teachers are interested in, but doing the leg work to figure out the who, what, when, where, why, and how can be a daunting task.
What is STEM?
What is the difference: STEM, STEAM, and STREAM?
What is the Engineering Design Process?
What is the benefit to my students?
What materials do I need to get started?
What does STEM look like in a primary classroom?
These are some of the questions I was asked while presenting. I’m going to attempt to answer these questions through this resource so that you feel more comfortable and prepared to start dipping your toes into the growing pool of STEM!

Great resource to get started on STEM. Thanks!
Fantastic! Thanks for sharing it.
Hoping to start STEM in my self contained classroom this fall, I have had most of the students since Jan. 2016. Hope this will help increase what they are able to recall since it will be more hands-on.
Thank you
I'm so glad you like it!
