Description

SWISH! is an engaging card game designed to help students in grades 1-4 practice addition in a fun and interactive way!

Players take turns picking a card without looking, aiming to collect sets of cards that represent addition facts. When a player draws an addition fact card, they must correctly say the sum aloud to keep the card. However, if another player notices a mistake in the sum, they can yell "SWISH!" and steal all the cards from that player.

But watch out for the SWISH! cards! If a player draws a SWISH! card, they must put all their cards back in and set the SWISH! card aside in a discard pile. The game continues until a player collects 10 cards, at which point the game ends.

SWISH! is not only educational but also encourages quick thinking and attention to detail. Download SWISH! today and make addition practice a blast!

My students love playing SWISH! We use it as an early finisher activity or in centers to practice math facts. It was easy to learn and ready to print, cut, laminate, and use in my classroom!

Fluently add and subtract within 1000 using strategies and algorithms based on place value, properties of operations, and/or the relationship between addition and subtraction.
Fluently add and subtract multi-digit whole numbers using the standard algorithm.
Apply properties of operations as strategies to add and subtract. If 8 + 3 = 11 is known, then 3 + 8 = 11 is also known. (Commutative property of addition.) To add 2 + 6 + 4, the second two numbers can be added to make a ten, so 2 + 6 + 4 = 2 + 10 = 12. (Associative property of addition.)
