Description

About this resource:

Sampling Methods Match Mats can be used individually, in pairs or in groups.

Each student, pair or group playing will receive a Match Mat and a set of matching tiles. I print the tiles on colored paper and pre-cut them. The teacher designates an appropriate amount of time to place the correct measure on top of each space on the mat. At the end of the designated time, mats are checked for accuracy.

This was a great sorting activity after I had students make posters of each sampling method. They then had to walk around and place the correct cards with the definitions! I heard lots of students say this helped them understand the differences between methods and that it was fun! It forced them to take the learning into their own hands. Will use again next year!
