I am currently in my 23rd year of teaching. The first 17 were spent in the same school teaching 2nd -4th grades general education. Currently, I am teaching 6th grade math and science in a school housing grades 2-12.
Teaching style
Science in my room is a combination of lecture, reading, note taking, demonstrations and hands-on labs. Math book lessons provide explicit instruction which is backed up with visual representations, hands-on manipulatives, games, and practice. I believe in trying to reach as many learning styles as possible.
