Description
Students will solve math word problems as they try to save Tom the Turkey from becoming somebody's Thanksgiving Dinner. I created this for my higher level 2nd graders in order to really challenge them, and they loved it. It's a fun story, and they enjoyed the math. It features addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division within multi-step word problems. I think it would also work well for 3rd graders who need some reinforcement with their math skills.

My students love to use resources related to holiday topics. The turkey is a big subject during Thanksgiving. The turkey motivates students to perform math and other activities. I use it whole group and small group.
This was really fun and enjoyable. The kids liked that it was different.
Great resource that was very useful in my classroom.
My students loved this and it kept hem fully engaged right before the break!
Great product but a little too advanced for my students (2nd grade).
This is so awesome! And the fact that it's editable just added to the awesomeness!! THANKS!
Om my gosh! This is awesome! I used them with my high ability second graders. It reminds me of a kid friendly version of escape room questions. Love Love love this!
Nice activity for lower third grade. Thank you.
