Description

This activity contains teacher directions for a student assignment using scale factor.

Students are given coordinate pairs to plot, which will form a snowman. Students must calculate the new image using a scale factor of 2, and complete the table listing the new points. Then, plot the new image.

**I have included a Quadrant One coordinate grid as well as a link to one. For more of a challenge, students may create a grid using graph paper (not included).

Teachers may allow students to decorate the snowman, or create a poster of the finished product.
