Description
Study Guide Part 2
for
Scarlet Letter
by
Nathaniel Hawthorne
The study guide is divided into three Parts:
Part 1: Chapters 1-5
Part 2: Chapters 6-12
Part 3: Chapters 13-23.
Each chapter contains a synopsis and vocabulary work that includes the sentence from the passage in which the word is found. The student is asked to guess the meaning of the word by using context, which is a reading skill, and then after being presented with the meaning, to write his or her own sentence using that word. Most (but not all) of the chapters have a writing assignment about characters and/or plot or elements of writing such as personification or symbolism.

So glad! I remember reading this classic as a student and then teaching it years later! Still one of the "greats" in my opinion.
