Great way to tie in something that students already love- the smelly markers into a descriptive writing idea.

I'm always looking for a way to enhance sensory details for fifth graders. There's only so many times I can say, but I need to model it better by SHOWING it and having scented markers was a fantastic idea I've never thought of before! Love this lesson!

The kids LOVED this! What a fun way to teach/practice descriptive writing. It's easiest if you have the same marker pack obviously but the first time we tried it I had a different set and it was fine...just do some slight adjustments! This felt like it was a break from work but the kids got a lot out of it.
