Description

How to design a great science fair project. 10 pages including a scripted lesson plan on how to turn an idea into a winning project.

Welcome to the world of MatterMania! I hope you enjoy my lesson plans for fun, interactive, and stimulating science classes. My lessons encourage the STEM fundamentals: becoming critical thinkers and effective problem solvers through real world examples and project based learning.

The objective of this lesson plan is to introduce students to the idea of a science fair, to explain the different parts of a science fair project, and to show how to take an idea and make it into a fun and interesting project.

I have provided a class activity to show how one can go about transforming an idea into a full blown project complete with experiments.

Included in this packet you will find:

A list of the items needed to run this lesson.

A scripted lesson plan.

A handout for the students listing and explaining the parts of a science fair project.

Student worksheets for initial observations and data collection.
