Which coffee cup is the best insulator of coffee temperature? This is " puzzle". Students could work with a partner or independently to " solve" the puzzle. They would need to set up a mock science fair display board on paper or in their ISN. Then, they would cut out the pieces of the puzzle. Next , they need to decode which piece goes to the areas of purpose, hypothesis, experiment ( materials and procedure, data, results, conclusion, and application). Lastly, they would glue them down onto their mock / mini- science fair template board.
This could be used as a science center and could also be a formative assessment.
