Sixteen years ago, I started my teaching career without a textbook, planning or pacing guide; something too many teachers can relate. Despite having no built-in support, I was determined to work countless hours, weekends, and long nights. I took as many professional development classes I could; I even pursued and accomplished my National Board Certification along the way. My goal was to provide my students the best education in the world. Don't worry, I took time for me. I traveled! I went to Mexico, Peru, Chili, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, China, Australia, New Zealand just to name a few. I say this because I brought back so many incredible ideas for resources I want to share with you. Global experience not only gave me personal fulfillment, but also professional by identifying what is valuable. When students are having fun learning science, what can be more valuable than that?!
