Science Journal: Quick Speed Practices
Share

Description

These are Half-Page handouts (two of the same per page) that include two problems in which students must calculate speed, distance, or time by using the Formula D÷T=S and also one problem for describing distance, direction, and displacement.

Students must place their word problem answers into a griddable. It's always good to give them practice with that, since the STAAR Science and STAAR Math requires them to use those for answering math problems.

Useful for review, exit-tickets, warm-ups, or for pop quizzes. Currently, there are 10 total practices, but more will be added as they're made. These fit nicely into students Science Journals... that way, they can look back and review!

I have used these this year during the Force and Motion unit. They have proven to be useful! Let me know what you think!

I began co-teaching a physical science course, and the teacher was not prepared for students who did not have strong math skills. Finding resources like this saved the class.
