Description

Every year, my students have a difficult time with this. I've created this study guide and blank graph activity to help my students to better understand how graphing speed works. This give examples and explains each example to help students understand what the lines that go up, down, stay flat, or are curved mean.

THIS IS THE UPDATED VERSION! This new version is like the original with the same graphs, but the difference is that it is for printing on legal paper. This allows 11 large graphs to fold up and fit onto a single journal page. The OLD VERSION is on letter sized paper and takes up 3-4 journal pages. The newer version is takes up less space and takes less time to assemble. Take your pick!

Let me know what you think! Thanks!

Hello, Thanks for your feedback. Most likely, the graphs not lining up is caused by the mechanics of the printer. When viewing the pdf file itself on the computer, you'll notice that the graphs are aligned. When I printed the one that I used for the preview pictures, it had printed front-to-back without misalignment. (I had printed from an machine that was newer and better calibrated) At my school's xerox, when printing something two-sided, it never comes out aligned... simply because it's a machine that is overused by all the other teachers, it breaks down often, and therefor its calibration is terrible. Just a suggestion - from personal experience - try printing from a printer that you know is calibrated better for two-sided prints... you'll most likely see better alignment.
