Description
These Science Vocabulary Skill Builder pages work with any interactive notebook. The accompanying PowerPoint program has six pages that can be used with any vocabulary words by editing the text boxes. You can add as many pages as you'd like using the "duplicate slide" option in Powerpoint. Students write the vocabulary word, definition, examples, and write the word in a context sentence. They add their own picture, showing that they understand the concept. I find that this is a great tool for my visual learners because they can follow the PPT on the screen as we discuss the word. My students are able to use these pages to quiz each other or to review for assessments.
The download contains a zip file which includes the interactive PowerPoint program and the PDF file for skill builder pages.

I added these pages to the back half of my interactive notebooks last year. The students really enjoyed learning the vocabulary in this way. I loved that I could put each word on the Smartboard for copying.
