This one-pager research proposal can be used digitally or printed out. I've used these for inquiry-based units where each student or small group chose a topic related to the science curriculum (in this case, water systems) and then conducted research and labs related to that topic. For example, some students explored water levels and glaciers melting using ice and hair dryers, while others used data tracking to measure water levels in a nearby creek and compare their results with local climate graphs.
