⭐️⭐️⭐️ Want everything you need to teach science tools in one place?

This resource is part of my Science Tools Unit Bundle, which includes editable slides and notes, posters, task cards, digital flashcards, worksheets, review games, and more—covering measurement, lab, observation, and safety tools. It’s a complete, classroom-tested toolkit designed to make your first week of science instruction easy, engaging, and effective! ⭐️⭐️⭐️

What’s Included:

This resource includes 4 classroom-ready first week of school science activities:

  1. 120 Science Tools Scenario Task Cards
Students identify the correct tools for various lab scenarios across five scaffolded sets, plus a sixth set where they find mistakes and explain which tool(s) should have been used.
  2. Science Tools Sort Activity
Students sort cards into categories based on tool function (measurement, observation, experimentation, and safety); can be used as a printable, cut-and-paste activity or digital activity on Google Slides.
  3. Digital Science Tools Flash Cards
Ideal for review or early finishers—great for whole-class projection or independent reinforcement--where students identify the tool by its picture, by its definition, and in context (via PowerPoint).
  4. Science Tools BINGO Game
A fun, interactive way to reinforce lab tools as a whole-class game or station activity; includes 35 unique bingo boards (no repeats!) and a complete teacher set.

How to Use These Science Tools Stations:

  • Set up each activity at a different station and rotate students in small groups.
  • Use one activity per day during your first week of school science activities.
  • Revisit any station later in the year before labs or science tools assessments.

Why Teachers Love This Resource:

  • Aligned to upper elementary and middle school lab tool expectations
  • Built-in critical thinking through real-world scenario tasks
  • Works great for early finishers, sub plans, or science centers
