Description
Teaching scientific variables and hypothesis can be tough! This practice sheet gives students a research question that they must identify the independent and dependent variable. Then they have to create a hypothesis from the given information.
Concepts included are:
-independent variable
-dependent variable
-hypothesis
An answer key for each worksheet is included.
These practice sheets directly correlate to Virginia Science SOL 4.1f, g. Please keep in mind these worksheets were created for 4th graders but could be used for older grade levels.
***Note: When purchasing, you are buying for one teacher only. Unless multiple licenses are purchased, please don't share my work with others. Instead direct them to my store so they purchase their own copy. Thank you for understanding!***

Thanks so much for this awesome activity. This was a great resource to use to extend student learning!
I used this as a supplemental activity for my students
This was a great resource for my 7th grade resource room. Easy to use and understand.
used it for class discussion
Great practice as students are learning about the scientific method. It prepares them for the state test where they have to know how to create a hypothesis as well as identify variables.
Great resource
This was a wonderful resource! This is a concept that can be very difficult for students and these were nice short problems to use to help them understand!
