Introduction to Science- Scientific Inquiry and Method

This mini-lesson includes a PowerPoint presentation, guided, a worksheet and quiz for learning about Scientific Inquiry and the Scientific Method.

This is a great re-introduction to science for students moving into a middle school science classroom.

Topics covered are:
♦ Scientific Inquiry
♦ Scientific Method
♦ Hypothesis
♦ Variables
♦ Data
♦ Conclusions
♦ Communicating

There are two styles of notes- one is formatted for 3-ring binders, the second is formatted to be cut out and pasted into a composition notebook. Both styles have a general education guided note version and a differentiated version for students with IEPs.

The worksheet is 13 questions and includes 9 vocabulary matching and 4 multiple choice.

The quiz is 10 questions and includes 7 vocabulary matching, 2 multiple choice and 1 short answer question.
