This listing is for the printable cards needed to put together a card sort activity. There is a card for each step of the scientific method, as well as a card for each step in a simple scientific experiment (determining if lemon juice affects the browning of an apple).

You should print enough card sets for each student, pair, or small group to have their own. They then have to work to match the steps of the experiment with the steps of the scientific method.

This activity was originally designed for use in a novel student with Ali Benjamin's The Thing About Jellyfish (the sections of the novel are named after the steps of the scientific method), but this would work well with any students who are being introduced to the scientific method.
