Description
This is the test I use with my 8th grade students after our first unit. It includes questions about metric measurement of distance, volume, and mass. It also includes questions about reading a graduated cylinder, water displacement method, and reading a triple beam balance. It also assesses the setting up of a controlled experiment and labeling the variables. I have include 2 versions of the test, a regular and advanced (honors). Both tests are mostly multiple choice. The advanced version has several short answer questions that are self-grading. You will be able to remove or revise the questions. I have also included the printable study guide I have the students complete before the test. (key included)
Topics included:
mass
volume
meter
liter
gram
metric conversions
scientific method
independent variable
