I use this lab to help explain the scientific method, variables, graphing, and graphing variables. It also gives the students a chance to create their own test. I use it to explain all the constant variables they forget to make constant.

I've included two versions of this lab write-up. One is guided, with a detailed procedure for students to follow. The second one is blank. It is set up for the students to create their own procedure and test. I usually use the second one.
