This set of 40 slides focuses in on elements of the scientific method and experimental design as they contain a mixture of slides with just observations or questions relating to a possible lab activity, to both questions and hypotheses about other science investigations. They can be used with a SMART board or even printed out as task cards to use as a weekly Bellringer or homework assignment. Also included in the pack are options for student output to answer questions about the slides’ title, question, hypothesis, independent variable, dependent variable, constants and graph type for the data. You can use the worksheet format or the foldable provided in your Interactive Science Notebook.

Great resource to use when teaching the scientific method. It really challenges students to think about each part of the scientific method and allows us as teachers to determine whether the students understand it or not.
