Boost your student's engagement with this scientific notation partner dice activity that incorporates student-student discussions, is self-checking, and involves rolling dice! In this partner dice activity students will add, subtract, multiply, or divide scientific notation expressions. They will work together to answer two separate questions that will get the same answer.

How it works? Students pair up, each pair rolls a set of dice, they find the card that matches their roll, each student answers their individual question and the goal is that students will get the same answer in the end! When students end up with different answers they will work together and discuss what error(s) occurred. Students love rolling the dice and you will love the discussions you hear and the amount of practice your students will be doing!!
