Description
1st page is the student worksheet - every student gets one
2nd page is the cards - cut out and given to each student or groups of students
Students will sort scientific questions into 8 categories. They will match the question with the correct scientific investigation, such as: controlled experiment, observation, survey, and even "Not a Scientific Question." This addresses a 7th grade Minnesota (MN) science standard. Good practice with any scientific method/investigation unit! Answer key is not included - students may be able to argue or justify why a question can fit into multiple categories. The discussion of WHY a student matched the question and investigation is just as important as the activity itself!

I used this as a center--very helpful for students to review.
Thanks.
Good resource, but not what I was looking for. I only wanted testable vs non testable questions.
A little higher level than I thought
Great activity for students to determine what a testable question looks like.
