Description
What could be more fun than motivating you students to do math - than some delicious Ice cream treat addition! Students scoop up digits from ones to thousands and demonstrate their understanding by building the tallest cone possible!
- Check out my blog post here!
I'm not exaggerating when I say that my students were obsessed with this project. My math class was split into groups and divided by teachers - so I didn't have my entire class during my math period. Well... when they returned they begged to do this project. And, because I'm not one to deny math practice, we worked on it for the rest of the afternoon (and during the next week when my students had free time).
This math package includes
*Color and Blackline Versions*
- Ice Cream recording sheets (4 Different Styles - Perfect for Differentiation)
- Instructions and Action Photos
- Ice Cream Scoops (Ones)
- Ice Cream Scoops (Tens)
- Ice Cream Scoops (Hundreds)
- Ice Cream Scoops (Thousands)
- Ice Cream Cones
- Guided Math Envelopes
This activity can easily be laminated and turned into a centre! Games are divided by number of digits for easy differentiation in your classroom.
