Description
(Hi there. I am an experienced writer of resources who has written two Computing text books for the Scottish education system. My resources are always designed to be engaging and exciting. As a result they are used in thousands of schools all over the world.)
Computational Thinking (learning to think in a logical/problem solving way) is the buzz word in the teaching of programming. By teaching students to predict the outcome of small pieces of code they naturally become better at building their own programs.
Although this homework uses Scratch program code, the code is simply a vehicle to ask the questions and the homework may be used with students who have never seen Scratch.
Permission has been granted by the Scratch team to uses images of Scratch code.
Editable versions of the homework and marking scheme (created in Serif PagePlus X5) have been included in case you wish to adapt the work.
Have fun. My students loved these!

Thanks for this fantastic product. Thanks for putting it together.
I used this in my computational thinking lab and students loved it. Thank you
Just the "unplugged" worksheets that I need to go with my scratch programming lessons. These provide my students with the opportunity to explain their understanding of the CS concepts we are working with in Scratch.
I love these Scratch supplemental activities and plan on using all of them with my Scratch Unit.
Love this.
An answer key on how you got to some of the more complex answers would be very helpful. The kids did have fun trying to figure some out together.
Hi there. So glad your kids enjoyed the puzzles.
Unfortunately I can't publish explanations along with the supplied answers. I am currently writing a book, for a London publisher, based on these puzzles (and a few hundred more). The book will include detailed explanations of every answer when it's published in Aug 2019.
Thanks for downloading.
Best wishes
Greg
Great short task or for when I was away for a relief teacher.
Easy way to include those who don't have access to Scratch at home.
