Thank you for your interest in 2nd Grade Homework Shape Up! This almost 200 page document is created to make homework a breeze for you this year and it's family friendly! No tears this year! Included is:
Reading Passages for each week (36 weeks in all). The Reading Passages are DIFFERENTIATED to meet the needs of all of your students. Each week there is an ON grade level, ABOVE grade level, and BELOW grade level passage (all about the same topic). We created these reading passages and questions to help kiddos practice reading and answering questions in a testing format. We included several forms of text including fiction, non fiction, poetry, and how to. The questions are aligned toward Common Core expectations. Additionally, we added a FLUENCY piece and some LANGUAGE PRACTICE (such as word work, spelling practice, sentence structure, grammar etc). We are excited to use this as the new school year begins to help our kiddos be readers and thinkers!
"Mighty Math" worksheets for each week (36 weeks in all). In our classrooms, our traditional math curriculum only focuses on one skill area, but benchmark assessments pull from all skill areas. We wanted a resource that would continually expose students to skills from each Common Core strand throughout the year. We call it “mighty” because kiddos will be exposed in small bits, but by the end of the year, they will have STRONG math skills within each strand!!
A Spelling template page for you to type your spelling words into. Listed on the page are ways kiddos can practice their spelling words at home throughout the week.
