Description

With over 100 color by code math worksheets, you will always have what you need to provide student choice and differentiation. In this activity students will be practicing 2nd grade math concepts, cutting skills, glueing, following 4 step directions, and creating a fun character to stand up on their desk for the day. These printable worksheets are a great option for fast finishers, for morning work as students arrive, or even as part of your sub plan folder. There are 5 characters to use from in this set that will work for the entire school year, start to finish!

This set includes 5 characters:

⟿ Penguin

⟿ Bird

⟿ Robot

⟿ Pig

⟿ Alien

Each character set includes the following math concepts:

⟿ Addition 0-20, result unknown

⟿ Subtraction 0-20, result unknown

⟿ Addition within 100, 2 digit plus multiples of 10

⟿ Addition within 100, 2 digit plus 2 digit number

⟿ Subtraction within 100, 2 digit plus multiples of 10

⟿ Subtraction within 100, 2 digit plus 2 digit number

⟿ Addition of four 2 digit numbers

⟿ Analog and digital clocks to the nearest 5 minutes

⟿ Compare two 3 digit numbers

Once students have completed coloring, they cut out the picture, apply glue to the marked area, and bend the picture into a cylinder shape that can stand up on their desk. These could become part of an eye-catching bulletin board but students will be excited to bring them home to share with their family members.

I had several students who needed practice with greater than less than. This allowed me to give them practice and review. When they finished, they used it to decorate their desks. They were proud to show their work and their desk decoration. The other kids were jealous that they didn't have one. (It made having extra work into a reward.)

I find my students really crave some off-screen activities, especially at the start of the day. I'm so glad they are a helpful part of your morning routine. Thank you for sharing that!
