I use these exit passes to quickly and effectively assess my students' understanding after a lesson.

The students answer the exit pass depending on the lesson & immediately walk it back to me. If the student answered the pass correctly, they receive a star. If the student did not answer it correctly, I sent them back to their seat to fix. After class, I collect the passes that were incorrect the first time & document those students that struggled with that particular standard. I use that information for future lessons.

These can be used for a grade or for a quick formative assessment.

There are 2 different exit passes for every standard in Numbers & Base Ten Operations

2.NBT.1 ~ Place Value
2.NBT.2 ~ Skip Counting
2.NBT.3 ~ Place Value
2.NBT.4 ~ Comparing Numbers
2.NBT.5 ~ Adding and Subtracting within 100
2.NBT.6 ~ Adding up to 4 two digit numbers
2.NBT.7 ~ Adding and Subtracting within 1,000
2.NBT.8 ~ 10 more/10 less, 100 more/100 less
2.NBT.9 ~ Solving a story problem in different ways
