These math journal activities will help you spiral through concepts that you have taught during your math block. These activities allow your students to apply their knowledge of key mathematical concepts.
These journals are the perfect complement to the guided math series for second grade. I use them as an independent center choice during rotations.
Students can do these activities independently during math stations, or you can do this whole group in more of a teaching format. If your math block has small group, some of these would make great small group lessons for students that need more practice or more visuals with a concept.
This is volume 5 out of 9. It focuses on measurement but is also a spiral review of second grade standards in the fifth month of school.
