Description
This is the second unit of my Second Grade Science Interactive Notebook Series. This unit covers Weather standards including:
-The Scientific Method
-Experiment Vocabulary
-Weather vs. Climate
-Is It Climate or Weather
-Tools to Measure Weather
-Weather Vocabulary
-Severe Weather
-Precipitation
-Seasons
-Environment/Adaptations
-What Season Is It?
This unit also includes three pages for three different experiments and links to websites to explain the experiments. The three experiments cover:
-Temperature
-Wind Speed
-Rainfall
These three experiments lead to a culminating project that asks them to choose a location for a new playground at their school using the data they collect from the experiments.
Each topic has and interactive notebook page for students to create and take notes on during lessons. Most of the foldables are sized for a spiral notebook but you could shrink them on a copier if you prefer composition notebooks. I've provided appropriate sized covers for both types of notebooks.

My students loved this!
Great!
I used this in my second grade classroom and the kids found it easy to follow. The one difficulty was writing definitions for the storms - it was a lot of writing for some kids.
Do you have a photo of completed work? or an answer cheat-sheet?
thank you! Jeanette
I do have a completed example. Some of the examples show answers some do not. If you go to my store, look for Second Grade Science Interactive Notebook Visual Guide. It if free to download.
Wonderful resource! Thank you!
Makes such a difference to give a student a foldable for an INB instead of a worksheet. These work like magic to involve one of my most reluctant workers!
Love!
Super helpful for our weather unit!
