Welcome to Distance Learning!
This PE lesson plan is California State Standards Aligned (CCSS), and it is ready to get you up and running with your students on day 1 of distance learning! It provides a lesson that is scaffolded, centered around student choice, highly engaging, and - best of all - easy for you to use!
The lesson is on the CCSS Strand of "Aerobic Activity" and includes the following:
1: CCSS standards addressed in the lesson
2: Beginning of the period check in Google form (socio-emotional aligned)
3: An overview of the PE strand (Aerobic Activity) addressed for the day
4: Examples of the exercise addressed for the day
5: The many benefits of the exercise addressed for the day (with website links for the students to dive deeper into this information!)
6: A daily warm up video
7: The daily work out activity with 4 choice options for the students (with videos and workouts!)
8: A daily activity log for the students to track their workouts with a rubric (for 5 days a week and 4 days a week) so they know how they will be scored.
The lesson is designed to last 60 minutes, but you can edit that.
Again, everything is set up and ready for you to plug this into your Google Classroom or other Learning Management System. I've included Google classroom links AND Microsoft file versions both - for your convenience! :)
