Objective:
Learners will decode a mystery CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) word by identifying the initial sounds of given images. This phonics-based activity strengthens sound recognition, blending skills, and word building.

How it works:

1. Set the Scene: Image word mat displays 3 images that represent the starter sounds in a secret CVC word.
   
2. Sound Hunt: Learners say the starting sound of each image aloud (e.g., /s/ for sun, /a/ for apple, /t/ for tiger).
   
3. Build the Word: Using magnetic letters, letter flashcards, or dry-erase pens on whiteboards, learners arrange the starter sounds to form the mystery word (e.g., s-a-t = sat).
   
4. Reveal & Celebrate: Once the word is built, learners read it aloud and discuss its meaning or use it in a sentence.
