Grab many more activities just like this in the 6th Grade Secret Message Math Bundle!

This "secret message" activity will amuse your students and give them lots of practice converting metric units.

Directions: In each row, convert one of the measurements, in order to make a

comparison. Write down at least one converted measurement in each row. Circle the letter next to the greater measurement in each row. At the end, read the message from top to bottom. It reads, "Slide the Decimal" (The other letters spell "Measuring System").

This activity includes converting metric length, mass, and capacity/volume.

And all you have to do is copy it! The prep is all done for you. It's easy to check. Just see if they found the secret message! It's up to you to determine how much work you require your students to show. Use it as group work, homework, enrichment, or extra practice.
