Description
For this mission you will be playing two roles: Mysterious World Traveler and Expert Baggage Checker. As a World Traveler you will be creating a suitcase filled with secret objects relating to your mysterious location. As a Baggage Checker you will be using the clues from another Traveler's suitcase and your own background knowledge to make inferences about the World Traveler's secret vacation destination. Finally you will make your final conclusion as to where the World Travel vacationed and single out the most important clue.
World Traveler's Directions:
1. Decide on a vacation destination you would like to travel to. You can travel anywhere around the world. Money is no object-so be creative!
2. Cut out pictures from magazines or draw pictures of items you will need for your trip or possible souvenirs you would buy on your trip. Be secretive- don't choose obvious items that will give away your vacation destination. The objects can be anything and don't necessarily have to fit in a suitcase. (ex. A picture of a donkey for your Grand Canyon trip) You need a minimum of 5 pictures.
3. Glue them or draw them in the white space of your suitcase. Label the pictures.
4. Switch suitcases with another student Baggage Checker. BON VOYAGE!
Baggage Checker Directions:
1. Choose the four most important clues from the suitcase and list them in the CLUES column. List what you know about these clues under the WHAT I KNOW column. Make an inference about each clue under the INFERENCE column.
2. Make your final conclusion about the traveler's vacation plans and possibly their personality and hobbies.
3. Star the most important clue and explain your reasoning.
