Description
Students love a secret message decoding activity, right? This fall-themed product targets speech sounds /L, S, R, J, TH, CH, SH/, L-blends, S-blends, and R-blends in the initial, medial, and final positions. There are 10 target words per worksheet.
Students will use a symbol key to decode the secret words by writing the corresponding letter on the line above, then practice saying the words.
Extension Ideas: Have students make predictions (based on number of letters, familiar symbols, etc.) on what they think each word might be. For students working at a higher level context, have them put each target word into a sentence or use all 10 words to create a story.
