Short theory and classification of sedimentary rocks. The lab uses readily available materials and is low cost. Two short labs are presented: the classic layering by clast size in a glass jar and creating a conglomerate rock using Epsom salt. The labs conclude with show questions and analysis. Very appropriate for earth science, physics science, and geoscience.
