Description
This hands-on activity is great for independent work, small groups, math centers, stations, or whole-group instruction. This is for lessons on Segment Addition. There are 16 cards where students apply their knowledge of segment addition to create equations and solve for x or/and missing segments. These cards can be used for many activities either group work or independent work. For group work, I use these cards for “KAGAN Fan N’ Pick” (one student holds the cards, one picks a card, one answers the questions and another one has the key and checks the answers. They switch roles every question.). I also use it as a scavenger Hunt or gallery walk where I post the cards in different places in my classroom and students work in pairs. I also made a self-correcting Google Sheet activity of this (sold separately). It can be bought as a bundle with this task card). As students answer the cards, they check their answers using Google Sheets.
