Product Description
***You get all 3 versions for differentiation!
Included in this document are 6 cards containing problems and answers. All problems given are either a point and slope, 2 points, or a verbal description. Students must use point-slope form to find the equation in slope-intercept form. There is also a recording sheet and an answer key.
This activity corresponds to Texas Algebra 1 TEKs:
-A.2B: determine the equation of the line in various forms given a point and slope, or two points (Supporting Standard).
-A.2B: write the equation of a line given a table or verbal description (Readiness Standard).
This can be completed individually or in pairs, as a test review, homework assignment, classwork activity, or station.
Students should be given all 6 cards, scissors, and tape or glue. They cut apart the outside of the cards on the solid line, and match the problem on the bottom of one card to the answer on the top of another. They should end where they began, which is why the activity is self checking.
My students love these activities, because they can check themselves as they go, and work at their own pace. We loop them together and make a giant paper chain to hang in the hallway! They also can easily be folded and taped into an Interactive Notebook.
