Based on 8th Grade Common Core Standards -

This digital self checking activity pack includes:

  • Fill in the blank guided notes
    • includes drop downs and students must select the correct word to fill in each blank

  • 3 fill in the blank guided practice problems
    • includes drop downs for the types of solutions
    • students are asked to identify the correct coordinate for graphs with one solution

  • 6 independent practice problems
    • all answers must be correct before the box to the right side of the screen changes from red and "Keep Trying" to green and "Nice Job!"

Correct answers turn the box green; incorrect answers will turn the box red. The example graphs on the first sheet will automatically appear as the correct words are selected for each section of the notes!

DIFFERENTIATED: There are two levels of this activity included.

  • Level 1 only asks students to identify the type of solution from each graph.
  • Level 2 asks students to identify the types of solutions as well as the slope and y-intercept of each line on the graph.

Analyze and solve pairs of simultaneous linear equations.
Understand that solutions to a system of two linear equations in two variables correspond to points of intersection of their graphs, because points of intersection satisfy both equations simultaneously.
Solve systems of linear equations exactly and approximately (e.g., with graphs), focusing on pairs of linear equations in two variables.
