This self-correcting Thanksgiving turkeys in disguise themed Google Slides activity will give students the opportunity for independent math counting practice and comparing numbers within ten. It will strengthen understanding of one-to-one correspondence and the concepts of less than / more than / equal to and use of the symbols/signs (> < =)

As there are no overt symbols in this resource it could also be used as a Christmas activity.

There are twelve counting/comparing pictures within 10. Students will count the items and then click on the box that shows the correct sign/symbol.    >  <  =

  • If the correct symbol/sign is selected it will lead to a slide that shows the correct answer. Students will then click to go to the next slide.
  • If the incorrect symbol/sign is selected it will lead to a slide that asks them to try again.

This is a self-correcting activity that is designed to be played in presentation mode. It is important not to delete or move any of the game slides or the activity will not play properly.
