As a 3rd grade teacher I love this quick-check for student understanding. After a lesson, activity, etc., I ask students to put their "heart rating" up. Students put the amount of fingers that best represents how they feel about said activity. This allows me to quickly evaluate where my students stand before moving on to the next thing! This is also a great way to introduce students to proficiency scales.
Use Suggestions:
- Print and laminate for each student to keep in their pencil pouch, binder, etc.
