Help your students increase their vestibular input skills with these Proprioception Input Sensory Task Cards.
Proprioception sounds like a crazy word, but it simply refers to the body’s ability to understand where it is in space without looking. When we lift our arms, kick out our legs, or clap our hands, our bodies understand that our limbs and body parts are in these positions and performing these tasks.
Children with proprioceptive dysfunction are unable to move and use their body effectively, and can become easily frustrated, give up, and lose self-confidence.
To figure out what activities are helpful for each student use this
Explore and use these 30 proprioception input activities in a sensory room, special needs classroom or in a general education setting.
Keep them on a ring and pull them out on a regular basis to keep students engaged while working on much needed skills.
