Description

Bright functional constructor to work out the order of words in different types of sentences and tenses. Suitable for primary school and young teenagers at low levels.

Children, especially in the early stages of learning, often forget about the use of auxiliary verbs, incorrectly make negative sentences or put the words as they are prompted by their native language. Sentence Architect will help them to master this difficult skill.

Why the house? Its design clearly reflects the structure of a sentence, allows you to build up and replace the various "floors" without breaking the structure of the "house". For example: I can swim > He can swim > He can swim very well.

Each part of speech has its own colour. Firstly, it gives the bundle the colourfulness that children like so much, and secondly, makes it easier to find the right part of speech if you need to replace a "floor". For example, if a child has used the wrong form of a verb and wants to replace a pronoun or noun, he can easily do it, looking for a word of necessary colour.

The bundle includes:

  • the floors: pronouns, prepositions, articles, modal verbs, question words, auxiliary verbs, conjunctions, particles, numerals, nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs and contractions;
  • the roofs: !/./?;
  • the foundation on which the house is built;
  • editable file (*docx), you can type in ANY VOCABULARY in the necessary form in accordance with the needs of a particular lesson.

☝ How to use: read in the PREVIEW FILE.

Can't wait to tell my EFL littles that they're going to become architects! That will have them feeling very important! hahaha I love the whole idea of this resource! It's fun, engaging, does exactly what it's supposed to do, and the kids just simply enjoy doing the exercise! Thank you!

My 6th grade students loved using this resource to build sentences and stretch them too. Very visual and it helps that the types of words are on them. Fantastic resource! I think it can be used throughout all the grades depending on the activity so very useful too.
