Description
Build your students' confidence as readers with this fun and engaging sentence level reading comprehension activity. This resource is great for speech therapy, special education and ESL students. This product includes a total of 50 worksheets! 25 worksheets that include descriptive sentences which are then followed-up with five wh-questions - Who? What? Where? When? and Why? Your students will get plenty of practice reading and answering the basic wh-questions. In addition, the sentences mentioned above are each followed with an additional page that includes the original sentence and a picture box for your students to draw a picture relating to the sentence (25 pages). This will allow your students to further demonstrate their comprehension of each sentence through another mode of expression. This product will allow your students to gain a better understanding of how to answer wh-questions and also allow them opportunities to highlight or underline where they found the answers with minimal frustration because the questions are based on only one sentence at a time rather than multiple sentences.
These worksheets can be used as a listening comprehension activity too!
These sheets can be done as a whole class activity by putting the page on an interactive whiteboard, individually, morning work, small groups for extra help or sent home for homework.
