This Halloween activity will teach your students to rewrite sentences without changing their meaning to achieve sentence variety. At the same time, they will be reminded of things that are associated with Halloween.
Good writers vary their sentence patterns by sometimes placing phrases or clauses at the beginning of their sentences. The twenty Halloween - themed sentences in this exercise all begin with the subject and the verb.
Included are:
- A printable writing exercise with twenty Halloween-themed sentences for students to rewrite.
- A link to the resource in Google Drive™
- A link to access the resource in Easel by TpT
- The answers
You can use this resource in three ways:
1. Print the pdf and distribute the pages to your students.
2. Assign the exercise in Google Drive. Students can submit their work to you however you wish. (Google Classroom, email, etc.)
