Many English learners struggle with using articles because they aren't used to hearing them! How many of us say, well it just sounds right?! I know I have!
This resource has anchor charts for when to use and not to use articles, what articles to use when, and activities that support using articles in sentences, identifying articles, and writing sentences with articles.
Each worksheet uses commonly used words and sight words, examples are simple and easy to understand for new English learners, and visuals are included on some anchor charts and on scaffolded activities.
Activities are scaffolded so they are appropriate for any level of English learner who is learning to use articles in their writing. We know that writing is the hardest and last domain of English for our students to learn and these activities will help them understand when to use articles and how to use them correctly.

1 anchor chart on when NOT to use an article
Multiple fill in the blank and circle activities as well as scaffolded writing activities.
Even though this is geared for ELL students, young learners would benefit from it as well.
