Description

Teach middle and high school students how to craft compound and complex sentences by showing them how to use coordinating (FANBOYS) and subordinating conjunctions. This resource also prompts students to avoid run-ons.

Four lesson slides can be presented on screen or printed out as anchor charts and come with corresponding fill-in-the-blank student worksheets. The lessons are followed up with 10 engaging practice activities.

Use as an interactive PowerPoint, printable booklet, or stand-alone worksheets—perfect for grammar lessons, writing practice, bell ringers, do-now tasks, or mini-lessons.

This is the perfect follow-up to simple sentences for middle and high school and can be followed by further teaching on other sentence structures used for variety and effect!
