Description

Teaching children how to put events in order is a foundational skill for reading comprehension and logical thinking. This interactive anchor chart provides a colorful, engaging way to practice sequencing using a relatable daily task: Brushing My Teeth! 🐝

What’s Included:

  • Anchor chart defines sequencing and explains why it is important for understanding the stories we read.
  • Features a bright sunflower life cycle diagram to illustrate events happening in chronological order. 🌻
  • At the bottom is a space for you to put a daily routine in order, like brushing your teeth.
    • 💡: I added velcro dots to each box and had the first graders participate in a guided practice experience where volunteers came to the board and put the “Brushing My Teeth” steps in order, using the sequencing words: First, Next, Then, and Last!

  • 4 sequencing task cards with words and pictures for the teeth brushing process. 😁🪥
