Description

Your student will use technology to investigate and compare series and parallel circuits. The investigation sheets are meant to accompany a PhET simulation of DC circuit building kits. Internet access is required. Students will see differences for Kirchhoff's and Ohm's laws qualitatively, as well for adding and removing bulbs from these circuits. Rubrics and Teacher pages included.

This 7 page download includes an investigation with rubric (4 pages), and teacher solution pages (3 pages).

This activity was originally created for use as a printable document. The TPT digital overlay has been added to create a version useable with Google Classroom™️.

If you are an Ontario teacher this resource lends well to lead up to SNC1D: E2.1, E2.6, & E3.6 & SNC1P: E2.1, E2.5, & E2.6

I appreciated that this was a conceptual study of this online simulation and didn't require any math. It highlighted important concepts about circuits that was straight forward and easy to follow.
